Police appeal for witnesses after biker dies in collision with lorry in Glasgow

Police are appealing for witnesses after a biker died following a crash with a lorry yesterday.

Emergency services raced to Parkhouse Road at the junction of Nitshill Road, Glasgow, at 10am following the collision.

A 62-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed until 7pm while officers carried out their investigations.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the accident.

Road Policing Sergeant Gemma Blackadder said: "We are supporting the man's family at this incredibly difficult time.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the collision.

"I would urge anyone who may have witnessed the crash but has not yet spoken to police to come forward.

"I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have dash cam footage which could help with our investigation."

Information can be provided to Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1268 of 29 August.
