Police appeal for witnesses after Alderley Edge bypass crash leaves man fighting for his life

A driver is fighting for his life following a crash on the Alderley Edge bypass.

Police say the 32-year-old man was taken to hospital after his Nissan Micra crashed with a Honda Civic on Saturday night.

His condition is described as critical.

The 23-year-old driver of the Honda was also taken to hospital with serious injuries.

He has since been discharged.

Cheshire Police are now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage of the crash which took place at about 8.15pm on Saturday.

The silver Honda was travelling towards Macclesfield on the A34, while the grey Nissan was heading towards Wilmslow.
