Police appeal for witnesses after accident involving bus and cyclist

Police are appealing for information following an accident involving a bus and a cyclist in Livingston.

They want people who witnessed the incident, which happened around 7.45pm on Friday, August 7 on Almondvale Avenue, come forward.

Emergency services attended and the 21-year-old male cyclist was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary after sustaining serious injuries.

Sergeant Stephen Quinn  of the Livingston Road Policing Unit said: “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision and who has not spoken to officers to come forward.

“We are also appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and who has dashcam footage or any other information which may assist to get in touch.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 3479 of 7 August, 2020.
