However his last known whereabouts are in the Lanarkshire area, after his work vehicle was traced off the A706 at Heathland Forest, Forth.

The 46-year-old was last seen at around 11am on Monday,  September 7.

Searches have been carried out since that day and enquiries remain ongoing to trace him.

Inspector Claire Walker said: “Officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries over the past week to trace Andrew, with increasing concerns for his welfare.

“We would ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to get in touch as soon as possible. Whether you are from the Dumfries and Galloway area, or Lanarkshire, any information or possible sightings could prove vital.”
