Steven Swinfen: Missing man may have dyed his hair ginger and travelled near to Edinburgh

Police have again appealed for information as they continue to search for missing man Steven Swinfen.

Cops say he may have been spotted in the Rosyth area, near Edinburgh.

Steven, 34, has been reported missing from Glasgow for two months and was last seen at around 4pm on 4th March. Despite being reported missing from Glasgow, officers believed that Steven may have travelled to the West Fife area.

Today Fife Police confirmed reports that Steven may have been spotted in Rosyth and dyed his previously black hair a red or ginger colour.

Rosyth is a small area, only a short distance from South Queensferry and Edinburgh city centre.

His family are said to be growing increasingly concerned, with his disappearance described as "out of character".

He is around 5ft 9ins, tall, of a slim build with brown eyes. When he went missing he was wearing a navy long-sleeved jumper, grey trousers and black footwear.

Sergeant David McCabe from Police Scotland said: "Steven has been missing for a prolonged period now, this is out of character for him and his family are understandably worried about him.

"We have a number of police resources committed to tracing Steven and I am now looking for the assistance of the local community."

If anyone has any information regarding the whereabouts of Steven, they are urged to contact 101 quoting incident no. 2447 of the 16th of March 2020.
