Police appeal for missing Edinburgh woman after 'growing concerns' for her safety

Police in Edinburgh and Borders have issued an appeal to help find a 45-year old woman who has been missing since Saturday.

Officers have stated there are "growing concerns" for Claire Parkes, who was last seen yesterday afternoon.

Claire has been described as a dark haired white Scottish woman with a local accent.

According to police, she was last seen wearing a yellow jacket, pink top and grey/blue tracksuit bottoms.

She was last seen in the Nevis Gardens area of Ladywood, Penicuik, with anyone who may have seen or heard from her urged to contact the police.

Claire has also been said to have links to Edinburgh and Newcastle and may have travelled to either of these areas by bus, taxi or train.

Anyone who may have seen Claire, or who has any information on her whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 2798 of 22/08/2020.
