Police appeal for information following a disturbance outside a Lidl store in West Lothian

Police are appealing for information after a man and a woman were seriously assaulted in Whitburn.

The incident was reported around 11.45pm on Wednesday, May 27, at the Lidl car park on Longridge Road.

A man, aged 22, and two women, aged 21 and 20, were involved in a disturbance with another group. The man was taken to St John’s Hospital with a serious head injury and the 20-year-old woman received treatment for an injury to her collarbone.

There are no descriptions of the suspects.

Detective Constable Alan Gibson, of Livingston CID, said: “We have limited detail for this incident and are appealing to the public to help us.

“There are blocks of flats at North Reeves Place which overlook the car park and we’re appealing to anyone there who saw anything to contact us.

“Similarly, if anyone has any information in relation to this incident, please contact us.”
