Police appeal for information as concerns grow for missing Greenock woman

Concerns are growing for a woman who was last seen in Greenock in the early hours of this morning.

Gillian Higgins, 40, left her home address on Carwood Street in the Renfrewshire town at around 4am.

Officers from Police Scotland said she is white, around 5ft 5in tall with long fair hair and blue eyes.

Constable Michael Donnelly, of Greenock Police Station, appealed for information to help find her.

He said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned about Gillian and are looking for the public's help to trace her safe and well.

“She was last seen leaving her home address in the early hours and we would ask anyone who may have seen Gillian or has any knowledge on her whereabouts to contact police.

“If you have any information that could assist with our enquiries, I would ask that you speak to officers.

“Police can be contacted on 101 quoting incident number 0616 of Saturday, 9 January, 2021.”
