Police appeal for information after reports of shots fired in Derry

Police received reports of shots being fired in Derry/Londonderry on Sunday evening (October 24).

The PSNI is appealing for information after gunshots were heard in the Sevenoaks area of the city.

Inspector Swanson of the PSNI said:

"We received a report at 9.40pm of gunshots in the Sevenoaks area of the city.

"Thankfully, there have been no reports of injuries or damage."

The PSNI said their inquiries were "at an early stage" and appealed for "anyone with information or who noticed any suspicious activity in the area around that time to contact us on 101".

Members of the public with information in relation to the incident are urged to call 101 using reference 1859 of 24/10/21.
