Police appeal for information after man dies on motorway at Paisley

Police are appealing for information after a man died on the motorway near Paisley in the early hours of this morning.

The motorway at junction 27 westbound, the White Cart viaduct, was closed this morning as officers dealt with the sudden death of a 56-year-old man.

Emergency services were called at 4.20am on Monday, May 16.

They are not treating the death as suspicious, however officers are appealing for help to establish the full circumstances of the incident.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “If anyone was on the motorway around the time of the incident, in particular, any motorists with dashcams, please contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0325 of 16 May 2022.”
