Police are appealing for witnesses following a wilful fireraising in Uphall.
The incident happened shortly after 11pm on Monday, June 10, in South Middleton, when the windows of a house and a white BMW parked outside were smashed and the front door of the property set alight.
One person was in the house at the time, however no one was injured, and officers are now urging anyone who can assist with their enquiries to come forward.
Detective Constable Barry Carlin of Livingston CID said: “Thankfully, no one was hurt and the fire was quickly brought under control by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
“However, we’re working to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident, which is currently being treated as targeted.
“We’re asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at this time or earlier in the evening, or those with information relevant to the investigation, to contact police immediately.
“I am also particularly keen to speak to anyone in the area with private CCTV or those travelling in the area on Monday evening who have dashcam footage.”
