Police appeal for information after car is stolen from Sunderland

Northumbria Police officers investigating a burglary at a Sunderland home have issued the image of a man they would like to trace.

The break-in happened between midnight and 12.30pm on December 14 at an address off Peareth Grove.

An offender gained access to the property when it was unoccupied and stole a set of car keys from inside. He then used the keys to make off in a vehicle which was parked in the garage.

An investigation was launched immediately after the incident, with detectives carrying out a range of enquiries.

Now police have identified a man they would like to speak to in connection with the burglary.

He was seen in the area at the time of the offence and could have valuable information that can assist officers with their investigation.

The man, or anyone who knows him, is asked to contact police via the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of the Northumbria Police website or by ringing 101 quoting log 397 141220.

Alternatively, you can pass on information via independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously by ringing 0800 555 111.
