Police appeal for info after house broken into in Newmains

Police are appealing for information after a house was broken into in Newmains.

Between January 15 and two days later the theft by housebreaking took place at the home in Banavie Road.

A television was stolen from the property before the homeowner raised the alarm.

Inspector Stevie Murray, from Wishaw Police Office, said: “There is no positive line of enquiry but we will be conducting door-to-door enquiries following all the relevant Covid protocols.

“We are also checking nearby CCTV so enquiries are ongoing.”

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact police on 101.
