Police appeal for help tracing man wanted on recall to prison

Police are appealing for help from the public to trace a man wanted on recall to prison.

Xavier Lightbourne was released on licence from HMP Highdown on August 14 however an emergency recall to prison was issued on October 30 after he breached the conditions of his licence.

The 29-year-old from Forest Hill is also wanted for GBH and two breaches of a court issued order.

Members of the public have been warned not to approach Lightbourne and to call 999 immediately.

He is described as having dark brown eyes and hair and if 5ft 10ins tall.

Lightborne often has a distinctive black moustache and also has a V shaped scar on his index finger on his right hand.

Detective Sergeant Sam Bennett from the Met’s South East BCU Safeguarding Unit, said: “"We urge anyone who knows of Xavier Lightbourne's whereabouts to get in touch.

"We believe he has links to Lewisham, Greenwich and Lambeth, and would like to remind the public that harbouring a wanted suspect is an offence.

"Anyone who sees Lightbourne should not approach him, but call 999 immediately."

Anyone with information on Lightbourne's whereabouts should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
