Police are appealing for help to redecorate a pensioner's home after thousands of pounds were stolen from him.
The 82-year-old man had taken out his life savings, totalling £14,000, to redecorate his flat in Heywood.
He was also planning to purchase furniture and replace his car with an automatic.
However, the cash was stolen during a burglary.
On Thursday, May 7, police arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of burglary.

The teenager has been released under investigation.
Greater Manchester Police are now appealing to businesses and people in the community to help redecorate the man's flat.
Officers are also trying to replace his car with an automatic and are asking for anybody who wants to help to get in touch.
There are also plans to set up an online fundraising page for the man.
A post on the GMP Heywood Facebook page said: "On Thursday the 7th of May, a 16 year old male has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and has now been released under investigation pending further enquiries after a house was burgled in Heywood, whereby £14,000 was stolen from a 82 year old man.
"These were his life savings that he had taken out of the bank to redecorate his house, buy some furniture, and replace his car for an automatic.
"We are now looking to help and support the victim and this is where I hope we can come together as a community.
"If any business or someone from the community thinks that they can help then please direct message with your contact details. We are looking to get his flat redecorated, and replace his car for an automatic, and any other ideas that people may have to help."
