Police appeal for help to find missing man, 93

Police are appealing for help to find a missing elderly man from Failsworth.

Elley Alexander went missing from home at around 1.30pm today (Saturday).

The 93-year-old has a bus pass with him and may have taken public transport, police said.

A possible last sighting of him was recorded at the bus stop on Lord Land Junction with Wyndale Drive.

Police posted a picture of Mr Alexander on the GMP Failsworth and Hollinwood page at around 2.40pm today.

They are urging anyone who sees him to get in touch with them immediately.

Alongside the picture, an officer wrote: " Elley Alexander aged 93 years has been missing from his home address in Failsworth since 1:30 pm .

" A possible last sighting was at the bus stop on Lord Land Junction with Wyndale Drive.

"Missing has got access to a bus pass and may have taken public transport.

"Please report any sightings to 101 quoting incident number 1686 091021."
