A month ago, a crash left two best friends dead. Police still need help to piece together what happened - and need to speak to a Fiat 500 driver

Police are appealing for help to find a Fiat 500 driver who witnessed a crash in Wigan which left two best friends dead.

John Keith Brown, 79, and David Culleton, 82, were taken to hospital following the smash, but sadly later died.

Police were called to Upholland Road, in Billinge, after three people were hit by a Ford Kuga on Friday, December 21 at around 8.15pm.

Mr Brown's wife, Ruth, believed to be in her 50s, was also taken to hospital.

Her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

The three people are understood to have been crossing Upholland Road, close to the junction with Longshaw Old Road, before the crash.

No arrests have been made. Police enquiries continue.
