Police appeal for help to find family of man who died at Tube station

Police are appealing for help to locate the family of a man who died on the London Underground.

Rizwan Ahmeed, 42, was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency services were called to a casualty on the tracks at Edgware Underground Station.

The incident at around 7.15am on Wednesday, September 3, is not being treated as suspicious and a file has been prepared for the coroner.

Despite extensive enquiries, officers have been unable to trace Mr Ahmeed’s next of kin or any other family members to inform them of his death.

Mr Ahmeed was a Pakistani national who had lived in both Newquay and London, the British Transport Police said.

He had short black hair and a beard, and before his death he was wearing a black waterproof hooded coat and black jogging bottoms.

Officers are appealing for any relatives or anyone who may have information about Mr Ahmeed’s family to come forward and assist their investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 93 of 3 September.
