Police appeal for help in tracing missing Lanarkshire man

Police are appealing for help in tracing a Lanarkshire man who vanished six days ago.

David Morrison was last seen at 2.45pm on the afternoon of Friday, August 6, when he left his home in Rigside in a white Vauxhall Astra, reg plate - ND14 BYZ.

The 37-year-old is described as 6ft 3 in height, of medium build and has short brown hair. He was wearing grey joggers, blue t-shirt and black trainers and carrying a blue holdall.

Inspector Ross Aitken, Police Scotland, said: "David has not been missing before and the fact that he has not been in touch with any family or friends since last Friday is concerning.

"He is familiar, through his work, with the Lanarkshire, Ayrshire and the Dumfries and Galloway areas, so we'd ask anyone in these areas who has seen him or his car to get in touch with police.

"We'd also ask David to call his family or police or whoever he is comfortable telling as we need to make sure he is safe and well."

Anyone with information that will assist officers with their enquiries can contact police via 101 quoting reference number 3053 of Monday, August 9, 2021.
