Police appeal for help in tracing man wanted in connection with fatal knife attack on teen

Detectives investigating the murder teenager Rhamero West are continuing to appeal for the public's help to trace a wanted man.

Giovanni Lawrence, 20, is wanted on suspicion of murder.

This is connection with the fatal stabbing of 16-year-old Rhamero in Old Trafford on 9 September 2021.

Mr Lawruence is known to have links to Hulme, Old Trafford and Moss Side in Manchester and may also have links to London and West Yorkshire.

The public are advised not to approach him and to call police urgently if they have seen him.

Officers were called to Norton Street just before 6pm on September 9 to reports of a stabbing.

Emergency services attended and found Rhamero with a number of stab wounds.

He was taken to hospital where he sadly died a short time later.

A 16-year-old-boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, and Ryan Cashin, 19, of Nancy Street, Manchester, have already been charged with his murder.

Both were remanded in custody to appear at a future date.

GMP confirmed on November 30 last year that a third murder arrest had been made in relation to the investigation.
