Police appeal for help in the search for vulnerable man

Police are trying to trace a vulnerable man who was last seen in Paisley last night.

Cops said he appeared confused when he spoke to other members of the public near Milliken Park Train Station yesterday afternoon and was spotted again in Magnus Road, in Houston around 7pm.

He was last seen in Broomlands Street in Paisley at around 7.30pm.

Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare and urged him or anyone who may recognise him to get in touch.

The man is described as being white, aged 65 to 75 years with white hair. He is described as being of slim build and approximately 5ft 9ins in height and was wearing a blue disposable face mask.

He was wearing a black puffa jacket with a zip that looked broken, in his mid 70s, and wearing light blue denims with the bottoms turned up and an NHS blue face mask.

Bus drivers and taxi drivers are asked to keep an eye out for the man who may be using public transport and in possession of a bus pass.

Anyone who has any information is asked to contact police via 101 and quote incident number 2052/01
