Police appeal for help in search for missing 13-year-old girl

UPDATE: Police said Amna has now been found safe and well.

A 13-year-old girl from Tameside has gone missing.

Amna Khaliq, who is from the Ashton area, was last seen wearing black trousers, a white shirt and a black blazer.

She is described as a Pakistani female with a slim build.

Greater Manchester Police's Tameside and West division posted an appeal on social media this evening, November 17.

The force is asking for any information and calling on the public to be aware of any sightings of the young girl.

They also supplied an image of her.

The post read: "Amna is described as a Pakistani female, slim wearing a black blazer, black trousers and white shirt.

"Amna is missing from the Ashton area of Tameside.

"Any sightings please contact police quoting log 1929 - 171121."
