Police officers in Ayrshire are appealing for witnesses after a sheep worrying incident at Auchincruive Estate, Ayr.
Ayrshire Live can reveal that an incident involving domestic pets and sheep happened at about 3.20pm on Sunday, January 24, although the exact circumstances have not been disclosed.
Ayrshire rural watch coordinator constable Andrew Thorne said: "The incident occurred when a number of members of the public were out walking their dogs and we are appealing to the public to help us.
"Dog walkers are reminded that they must keep their dogs under control and on a lead particularly when in proximity of livestock.
"Livestock attacks have significant impact particularly during the lambing season."
