Police appeal following serious road traffic collision

Police are appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

The incident happened around 9.40pm on Sunday (March 1) on Station Road, Armadale, where a blue Audi A3 travelling south, collided with a 15-year-old boy.

Emergency services attended the scene and the teenager was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

The road was closed for around six hours to allow a full collision investigation to take place.

Sergeant Jill Kirkpatrick, of Road Policing East, said; “A teenager has been seriously injured as a result of this road traffic collision and we are looking for the public’s help to establish exactly what happened.

“I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time or anyone who was driving on the road with dashcam footage to please get in contact with Police”

Police Scotland can be contacted on 101 quoting incident number 3894 of Sunday 1 March, 2020.
