Police appeal following Hamilton hit and run that left passengers hospitalised

Police are appealing for information following a hit and run crash in Hamilton that left five people injured.

The incident happened on Burnbank Road around 6pm on Friday, November 5 and saw a dark coloured SAAB collide with another vehicle and fail to stop.

The five occupants of the car were treated at the scene and taken to Hairmyres Hospital for further treatment.

Constable Alan Frame said: "We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident and are keen to trace the driver of the car involved.

"I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may have any information that could assist us to get in touch.

"The area was busy at the time and I would also ask any motorists who have dashcam footage of the incident to get in touch."

Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101. Information can also be left anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
