Police appeal after woman sexually assaulted at Dalreoch railway station

Police are appealing for information after a woman was sexually assaulted at Dalreoch Station on Saturday (February 20) evening.

The incident took place as the victim stood by a waiting shelter. She was followed across the platform by a man and then sexually assaulted.

The man was described as Asian, around 5ft6, between 30 and 35 years old, and of average build. He had a short dark beard and was wearing a grey woolly hat and a cream or beige winter jacket. He was described as speaking with an Indian accent.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, in particular a woman who spoke with the victim at the time before then boarding a train to Helensburgh.
