Police appeal after woman has car stolen at knifepoint in Bolton

Police are appealing for information after a woman had her car stolen at knifepoint in Bolton.

The incident happened on Cricketers Way in Westhoughton at around 11.20am on March 31.

The victim, a woman in her 40s, wasn’t injured but was left shaken.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing, a spokesman for GMP said.

In a statement, the force said: “Police were called shortly after 11.20am on Wednesday 31 March to a report of a vehicle being stolen at knifepoint at a car park off Cricketers Way, Bolton.

“The victim - a woman in her 40s - thankfully wasn’t injured but was left understandably shaken.

“Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made.”
