Police appeal after wine stolen in Lenton Tesco burglary

Police are appealing for witnesses after bottles of wine were stolen from a Tesco store in Lenton.

The incident happened at the Tesco Express store off Willoughby Street on Saturday, May 23 at around 1pm where it was reported a man stole a number of bottles of wine.

Police Constable Laura Phillips said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who may has seen the incident in broad daylight.

"Officers were quickly on the scene, but the man escaped on foot.

"The man also tried to escape by jumping into the back of a passing vehicle on Faraday Road, so we are keen to speak to those who may have been startled.

"If anyone has any information please call 101, quoting incident 302 of 23 May 2020.
