Officers are appealing for information and witnesses following reports of a theft in Mapperley.
Nottinghamshire Police were called to Hallam Road, Mapperley, at around 7pm on Monday, August 19 after reports of two people breaking into a blue Transit van and stealing several items.
It is believed that the two offenders were confronted before running up the road.
