Police appeal after two cars torched in Wishaw street

Police are appealing for information after two cars were torched in Wishaw over the weekend.

At around 9.15pm on Saturday night, officers were called to an incident in Campbell Street.

Officers state that a suspect wearing dark clothing was spotted setting off fireworks in bins which in turn set the vehicles alight.

Elsewhere, officers are asking the public for help following the theft from a construction site in Craigneuk.

On the night of Friday, November 6, and the following morning, a high valued diesel pressure washer was taken from the site in Meadowhead Road.

The value of the pressure washer was estimated to be approximately £2500.

Finally, police are hunting a thief who smashed the window of a car and nicked some of its contents in Young Street, Wishaw, on Friday, November 6.
