Police appeal after train for Swansea City fans cancelled when emergency button pressed

Police want to speak to these two men after staff were forced to cancel a train for Swansea City fans mid-journey because a 'call for aid' button was pressed.

The incident, which a British Transport Police spokesman described as "malicious obstruction", happened at 9.15pm on a charter train for Swansea City fans after the match against Bristol City at Aston Gate on September 21.

Two men are reported to have activated the passenger 'call for aid button' while near Port Talbot Parkway station. The button should only be pressed in genuine emergencies.

As a result the train had to be cancelled part-way through the two-hour journey and later trains were delayed.

The force has now released CCTV images of two men they believe could help with their inquiries. Anyone who recognises them is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference number 572 of September 21.

Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
