Police have issued an appeal after a thug robbed a cash delivery driver outside a supermarket in Bury.
Officers were called to reports of the incident at Tesco at Woodfields Retail Park shortly after 10.45am this morning (Monday, September 27).
A man had stolen cash from a cash delivery driver outside the store moments earlier, say GMP.
The culprit then fled the scene.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing a number of police vehicles outside the store, off Peel Way, following the incident.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police: "Officers were called just after 10.45am today (27 September 2021) to a report of a robbery on Woodfields Retail Park in Bury.
"A male stole cash from a man who was transporting money in a van before making off from the scene.
"Enquiries are on-going and anyone with information is asked to report it online or by using the LiveChat facility at www.gmp.police.uk.
"Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
