Police appeal after robbery at Co Tyrone business

Police are appealing for information after a business premises was reportedly the target of a robbery in Co Tyrone.

The robbery was reported to have taken place at a business premises in the Barony Road area, near Carrickmore at around 8.15pm on Monday evening, January 3.

A male is said to have entered the premises and demanded money from two staff who were working at the time, before leaving in the direction of Carrickmore.

A police spokesperson said: "Detectives are appealing for information following a report of a robbery at business premises in the Barony Road area of Sixmilecross yesterday evening, Monday 3rd January.

"At around 8.15pm, it was reported that a male entered the premises and demanded money from two staff members, before making off in a car in the direction of Carrickmore.


“The suspect was described as wearing a hooded top, and had his face covered, apart from his eyes.

“Enquiries are continuing, and we would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and noticed any suspicious activity, or may have any information in relation to the incident, to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1507 of 03/01/22.”
