Police appeal after man suffers broken leg during attack at Nottingham Forest and Derby match

A man has suffered a broken leg in an attack at Pride Park after the Derby County vs Nottingham Forest match.

The game finished 1-1 on Saturday, August 28, after Brennan Johnson's strike cancelled out Tom Lawrence's opener in the first half.

Derbyshire Constabulary are now appealing for anyone with any information on an incident which happened after the final whistle to come forward.

Police say a man was punched while on stair 60 at Pride Park after the game was finished. The victim, a man in his 50s, fell and suffered a broken leg.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire Constabulary said: "Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the assault. Of particular interest is anyone who may have footage of the incident."
