Police appeal after man steals OAP’s purse in Morrisons supermarket branch in Bristol

A pensioner had her purse stolen as she shopped in a Bristol supermarket.

A woman in her 60s had been shopping at Morrisons, in Fishponds Road, on the afternoon of January 17.

Yesterday (March 18) Avon and Somerset Constabulary released CCTV stills as part of their investigations in to the incident.

Police say that as the victim headed to her vehicle at around 3.45pm she was approached by a man she did not know who had been waiting outside the store.

He then stole her purse from her coat pocket before leaving the scene.
