Police appeal after man reported missing from Perth

*Update - Jimmy Duncan has since been traced, and police officers have thanked the public for their help*

An elderly man has been reported missing from his home in Perth.

Jimmy Duncan (74) was last seen at around 9am this morning (Wednesday, May 8).

Police officers now say they are concerned for his welfare and are appealing for more information from members of the public.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland’s Tayside division said: “Police Scotland is concerned for the welfare of Jimmy Duncan (74) who was last seen at his home in Perth about 9am this morning.

“Jimmy is described as about 5ft 8 inches in height and medium build, he has white hair and wears glasses, and was last seen wearing black cords, a blue shirt, and a grey jumper.

“He may be in possession of a green rucksack.

“If you have any information that could help us find him, or if you believe you have seen him since 9am this morning, please call 101 or speak with any police officer.

“Our reference is incident 1135 of May 8.”
