Police appeal after Land Rover driver 'pulled up alongside girl and made lewd gesture' in Pontyclun

Police are appealing after a driver allegedly approached a teenage girl and made a lewd gesture.

The incident occurred in Pontyclun on Tuesday, September 1, when a man is said to have pulled alongside the teenager as she walked along Clun Avenue.

A South Wales Police spokesman said: "Police are appealing for information following a suspicious incident which occurred on Tuesday, September 1.

"The driver of what has been described as an old-style Land Rover pulled up alongside a teenage girl as she walked along Clun Avenue, Pontyclun.

"It is believed that he made a lewd gesture at the girl who ran away from the area."

The man is described as being white, slim, and between 20 and 30 years old. He had a black bowl-style haircut and stubble. He was wearing a black T-shirt.

Officers investigating the circumstances have asked the driver involved to make contact to explain his actions.

Police investigating the incident are appealing for anyone with information to call 101 quoting reference number 319915.
