Police appeal after front door of Hamilton house was deliberately set on fire

Police are appealing for witnesses after a front door of a house in Hamilton was deliberately set ablaze in the early hours of Friday morning.

The incident happened at 4am on Friday, December 4, at property on Laighstonehall Road.

Detective Constable Chelsea Stevens of Cambuslang Police Office said : “The occupants were in their home at the time of the fire, but thankfully no-one was injured.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time who witnessed anything suspicious, or who has information that will assist this investigation to contact us through 101 quoting reference number 0313 of 4 December Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
