Police in Paisley are investigating a “disturbance” in the town yesterday.

They say an incident was reported to them around 2.30pm with officers attending Mirin Wynd in response.

However, when they got there, there was no one there. Police say there are no reports of anybody being injured.

The circumstances of the apparent disturbance have not been confirmed.

Inspector Paul Connelly said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing to anyone who saw anything to come forward.

“If you can help with our investigation please call us on 101, quoting incident number 2019 of Monday, July 10, 2023, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
