Police appeal after elderly Chinese man found wandering streets in Bromley

An elderly Chinese man has been found wandering alone in south-east London, prompting a police appeal to get him safely home.

The man was spotted walking through Downham Way, Bromley, “in a confused state” at 2am on Friday.

He was then taken to a police station where he is safe and well, Scotland Yard said.

Police have released a photo of the man and are urging anyone who can identify him to come forward so that officers can return him to his home.

His name may or may not be Lam or Petak, the force said.

Anyone who is able to identify him is asked to call Lewisham Police on 101 quoting 633/23OCT.
