Police appeal after cyclist suffers punctured lung

A cyclist suffered a punctured lung after a collision at a roundabout in West Lothian.

The 48-year-old man was in collision with a car at the Mill roundabout in Livingston on Sunday morning.

He was taken to hospital with a broken rib, punctured lung and abrasions.

Police said a blue Peugeot 405 was involved in the incident at 8.55am. The woman driving the car was uninjured.

Witnesses are being urged to come forward.

Constable Ben Ross at Livingston said: “Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or saw either the car or the cyclist prior to the crash is asked to call police at Livingston on the 101 number, quoting the reference number 1428 of 27 October.

“Anyone who may have captured the crash or the lead-up to it should also call in.”
