Police appeal after crash leaves pedestrian with serious head injuries

Police have issued an appeal for dashcam footage after a crash left a pedestrian with serious head injuries.

Station Road in Weston-super-Mare was cordoned off by on Wednesday evening (November 6) after a car collided with a pedestrian near to the town's Tesco petrol station.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary has confirmed a man was rushed to hospital with serious head and leg injuries.

The force has since said the casualty remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Police are now appealing for anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.

A police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for information following a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Weston-super-Mare.

"It happened at 7.15pm on Wednesday night (November 6), when a pedestrian was in collision with a car in Station Road.

"The pedestrian suffered serious head and leg injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

"We are appealing for anyone who was in the area to contact us.

"We would particularly like to hear from anyone who may have dash cam footage of the collision.

"If you are able to help please contact us, quoting reference 5219257512."
