Police appeal after cash and limited edition coins stolen from shop in Mansfield

Police have released a CCTV image following a shop burglary in Mansfield.

Officers were called out to Handley Arcade, in Toothill Lane, following a report of a shop theft at around 2.10am on April 22.

Thieves took around £300 worth of goods, including a gold ring, two silver rings, cash and some limited edition coins.

Police have released a photo of a man they'd like to speak to in connection with the investigation.

Police Constable Ryan Frew-McGill said: “Incidents like these not only harm businesses financially, but they can also be incredibly distressing for staff within the stores.

"We have now issued a CCTV image of a man we would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

" If you recognise him, or if you saw anything suspicious in the area, please come forward.

“We are aware that incidents like these can have an impact on local businesses and the community.

"We have increased patrols in the areas to provide reassurance to them and will be engaging with them to offer crime prevention advice."

Anyone with information is asked to call the force on 101, quoting incident number 164 of April 22.
