Police appeal after break-in at house in Kinross

Police have launched an appeal for information after a house was broken into in Kinross.

Officers arrived at the property on Avenue Road in the early hours of Thursday morning (February 20) to find the glass panel of a door had been smashed and the door was lying open.

It is believed the raiders searched a number of drawers and cupboards after gaining entry.

The incident happened at around 1.45am.

Constable Lynn Finlay at Kinross Police Office said: “The house was unoccupied at the time of the break-in and we are still trying to establish whether anything was stolen from the property.

“I am keen to speak to anyone to saw anyone hanging around the Avenue Road area of Kinross in the early hours of Thursday, 20 February, 2020."

Anyone with information should contact police at Kinross via telephone number 101 quoting storm incident number 0147 of 20 February 2020.

Information can also be passed to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
