Officers are appealing for witnesses after a break-in at a house in Kirknewton.

A sum of cash and a number of personal items were stolen during the break-in at the property on Long Dalmahoy Road.

The incident happened between 12pm and 6pm on Saturday (October 23) after entry was forced to the house.

Detective Sergeant John Bowerbank said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone with information to get in touch.

“We would be particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen any suspicious people or vehicles in the Kirknewton area on Saturday afternoon.

“If you have any dashcam or private CCTV footage from the area on Saturday afternoon then please let us know.

“If you can help please call 101, quoting incident 2153 of 23 October or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
