Police appeal after boy, 10, goes missing on way to north London school

Police are appealing for information after a 10- year-old boy headed off to school in north London on Tuesday morning but did not arrive.

Schoolboy Demetrace Nyakana was last seen at 8.20am on the Lytchett estate in Enfield walking to Carterhatch school, around a mile away.

He was wearing a Cartherhatch school uniform navy top and grey trousers.

Enfield Police tweeted for help and appealed for anyone who saw him or knows his whereabouts to contact them immediately.

A police spokesperson wrote: “Police are appealing to trace 10-year-old missing Demetrace Nyakana.

“He was last seen at 8.20am on the Lytchett Estate. Demetrace is wearing a Carterhatch school uniform, navy top and grey trousers.

“Please call the police with any sightings.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
