Police and diving team search park for woman, 60 who has been missing for two days

Police and a diving team are searching a park to find a missing woman who hasn't been seen for two days.

Officers were spotted at Orrell Water Park, in Wigan, Greater Manchester, this morning and have cordoned off an area of the park as part of the search.

Police confirmed that their activities are in relation to an ongoing search for Christine Foster, 60, Manchester Evening News reports.

In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Police are currently present at Orrell Water Park in Wigan as part of an ongoing search for a missing person."

The search is believed to be linked to missing Christine Foster. An appeal for help to find Christine was issued by police on Facebook this morning.

The 60-year-old was last seen at around 4.30pm on Wednesday in Greenslate Road, Orrell.

She is described as white, slim, five foot tall and with shoulder length blonde hair, blue eyes and dark coloured glasses.

The Greater Manchester Police said: “Officers are becoming increasingly concerned about Christine and want to make sure she is safe and well.

“Anyone with information about Christine's whereabouts should contact police on 0161 856 7032.”
