Police and ambulance rush to disturbance in Hamilton street

Emegency services rushed to Hamilton this morning (Friday, April 19) following reports of a disturbance.

Police and ambulance arrived at Brankholm Brae, in Hillhouse at around 10.05am.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We were called to a report of a disturbance at around 10.05am in Brankholm Brae.

“One man has been injured and an ambulance has been called.

“Investigations into the incident are continuing.”

Residents near the incident took to social media to describe what was happening.

Amanda Walker posted: “I just passed about nine police cars three vans ambulance still there all taped off now.”

Lauren Margaret posted: “Two more vans and an ambulance going in with sirens and lights just as I passed. Something is going on in Hillhouse. Looks like they are looking for someone.”
