Police advertise new jobs in the wake of pandemic

The chief constable of Nottinghamshire Police is calling on local people to apply to be part of the force in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

Craig Guildford sent out a reassurance message on Saturday, March 21, to residents that his officers will be there in peoples' "hours of need."

He also stated: "If anyone is in a position where they have been laid off we do have police staff opportunities that people can apply for so we can help support local people."

A number of jobs have now been advertised on the police website for those looking to start a new career at Nottinghamshire Police.

The police are looking for the following positions:

- Clerical Assistant

- A&E Assistant

- Engagement Partner

- Business Analyst

- IT Test Engineer

- Inspector Promotion Board

- Call Handler

- First Contact Enquiry Officer

It is also looking for police officers who want to transfer from other forces to Nottinghamshire.
