Monkey was baffled to see a group of BBC staff carefully planting stems of wheat into boards outside New Broadcasting House. The individual stalks were being patiently stuck into thin foam. Was it a scene from W1A? No, turns out it’s another ripple from the Poldark effect. Chris Evans apparently wants to try his hand at Aidan Turner-style scything on The One Show. What happens though when the director says cut? Boom-tish!
